What to Bring

To ensure a comfortable and productive course at the centre for yourself and your fellow students, please see the items listed below.

    Bedding

    We do provide “a bed-sheet, a pillowcase”, however students are encouraged to bring one more if they wish to change their bed sheet.

    Please bring a bed-sheet, a pillowcase and an extra blanket.

    Please don’t bring a sleeping bag.

    For meditation

    We provide meditation cushions (or backrest or chair as permitted by the conducting teacher)

    Please bring your own cushion or blanket if you prefer to use them.

    Clothing

    Please bring comfortable loose clothing during the summers, and a warm jacket during the winters, sweaters or shawls, slippers.

    Please don’t bring shorts, tank tops, transparent, tight or revealing clothing; bring leggings or tights only if they will be covered to the knee by a skirt or dress.

    Please note you will need enough clothing for your entire stay and all items should be modest, as described in the Code of Discipline. An external service provider will provide laundry service, on select few days during the course. It will take two days for the clothes to be washed, pressed and returned back by the laundry service provider.

    Toiletries

    Please bring a towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, unscented deodorant, shampoo, shaving kit, sanitary supplies and sunscreen if needed.

    Please don’t bring perfumes, aftershave, scented creams, scented powders or any other products that smell strongly.

    Medicines

    Please bring your medicines that you regularly take as per doctor prescription or any emergency medicines that you feel you may need.

    Other items

    Please bring a travel clock, torch (with spare batteries), drinking water bottle, thermos.

    Please don’t bring personal food, laptop, tablets, MP3 player, reading materials or writing materials.

    Please note

    Your phone and personal items are stored at the center at your own risk, but it’s crucial to note that they’re kept at your own risk. We advise students to bring only what’s necessary for the course. Please remember that the center cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss, regardless of the circumstances, Take care to pack according to the seasonal items listed and adjust for the current weather conditions.
